Patton and Eisenhower

This picture was taken October 15, 1945. A few days earlier Eisenhower had begged Patton to run for Congress, “presumably in the belief that I might help him” become President. Patton, however, was disgusted with the way Eisenhower had run the European campaign, sacrificing thousands of lives for political benefit.
