Fuckin A is right ! This bullshit is totally intolerable to me. Anyone so
enamored with putting the Mexican flag above the American flag should damned
well take their asses back to Mexico.
By an overwhelming margin every single piece of legislation regarding granting
citizenship or amnesty for illegals on the federal level in the last 6 months or
so here has been defeated. This has been achieved by the American people
flooding their congressional members offices with calls and faxes to deliver
their thoughts to them.
My question is WHEN will the illegals themselves get the point ? As illegal
members of our society they are by and large unwelcome here and really ought to
save us all a lot of BS and just head back to where they came from !
And .... just as a special note to anyone who is illegally residing within the
US borders, here's my thoughts summed up pretty succinctly
There are a lot of posts floating around the net from seemingly angry Vets
claiming Mr. Broussard actually washed out of the military in less than 6 months
and never saw any actual service off his own base despite training for Vietnam.
While they think it's cool what he did they seem pretty pissed that he's being
hailed as some hero Vet.
And I personally wouldn't give a rat's ass if he did 5 minutes on KP duty.
His detractors can all go to hell. I didn't see any of 'em lining up in front of
the camera and do what he did. He's a foot soldier on the frontline of this
immigration issue, and we need more people like him with spine and backbone to
stand up and make these illegal invaders take notice; They're not welcome here
and need to go home. And if our elected officials won't do anything about it,
then it is high time we vote these assholes out of office and elect someone who
Jim Broussard merely did what the local police should have done in the first
place, enforce the law. This is America and we do have a law in place which
covered this. This is what I sent the addy above.
We could do with more guys like him over here in England, if we did something
like that we would be fined/locked up for sure. We are now 2nd class citizens in
our own country we can't do or say anything because it will be classed as
racist, England is now a shit place to live, sad but true.
i fail to see how this is so heroic
i mean yeah, i respect him for doing something about this, something which he
believes in was being dissed... we actually have alot to learn from him
but really would be better if we all went in and took down the regime and the
that is what really taints this nation(not to mention the world!), not some
silly assholes from mexico trying to stir up some shit by flying their flag
above the american one
It won't work. You will have years of strife followed by years of a crap
government that wold fail. This government is not what is bad its the
materialistic people that feed off it. Special intrest groups have learned to
work it well so much that they are feeding off te fruits of ourlabor.
Really hate to rain on your Mayday parade, but the world's global economy
operates on capitalism. Even the red commie bastards in China know that. That's
why we'll be owned by 'em if we don't get off our complacent fat asses and do
something about it.
what would have been nice was if the bearded fool had been nice enough to
ask the mexican guy if:
1. he knew what he was doing was provoking americans
2. would he please take it down himself or reverse the order of the flags.
But as usual americans shoot their load first and ask questions later.
You all talk about US of Arse being civilized, but never back it up with
I would imagine that the owners had been asked about it prior to the news crew
arriving. They probably knew exactly what they were doing when the put them up
like that. I am just surprised the idiots didn't put the American flag on
upside down as well. America first Mexico never.
Ok, then zxz. For the sake of argument, what if the Union Jack were displayed
say, under a French or Spanish flag? What kind of response do you suppose that
would get? I'd give it 5 minutes at best before an angry mob ripped the flag
down, bloodied the persons responsible and then burned the place to the cellar
floor. Please give me a break.

The Union Jack? Ha, you are showing your ignorance again. If it was the St
George`s cross in England maybe it would get a response, over the rest of the UK
I doubt anyone would give a fuck, after all, a flag is just a flag.
I am going to get a Scottish flag to fly here in Norway, I doubt anyone will
object. I have a 20 meter flag pole in storage and I also intend to fly a big
What I really don`t understand about this whole jumping up and down over the
stars & stripes is that Amercarse was founded and built upon by people from
so many different nations of many races, so why are you all so xenophobic?
Why aren`t you walking past this guys bar (it looked like a bar) and saying
yae, there`s a Mexican flag! America is so colourful and multicultural we are an
example to the world. Instead you call for him to be prosecuted and worse.
Are you guys serious? What a load of bullshit! Talk about patriotism gone
wrong. So much for multiculturalism in a developed society! What is so wrong
with letting people acknowledge their heritage? Just because someone migrates to
your country, doesn't mean they should abandon their family history. I would be
impressed that they were proud enough to fly the American flag in the first
place. Or is it illegal to fly the flag of any other country in America? To the
people who posted supporting this vandal, your posts make you sound like racist
how about....IT'S AGAINST THE LAW....PERIOD! i'm a proud american and if i see
someone stomping on, burning, or disrespecting, or flying their flag above mine
in my own country i will report it to the police giving them a verbal 24 hours
to take action, if none is taken i will personaly make sure that flag is
removed. there is no 2 ways about it. thumb your nose at my flag in any way
whatsoever you had better be ready to back it up.
They were hardly disrespecting your flag - they were flying it with their own.
They should have been warned that it was illegal, and have the reason explained
to them. Not have some lunatic storm across with a hunting knife and cut down
their flags! Taking the law into your own hands (in those sort of situations) is
just plain ridiculous. And applauding that sort of behaviour is even more
there should be three flags hanging... on top the canadian, under that, the
american, and under that the mexican... to be geographically correct
me, i don't fly any of these flags and show no allegience to any of them
btw, china is not, nor was ever communist... went back to capitalism from
socialism after mao's death which is a real tragic for the people of china and
sure as was not something they needed, mao's great failure was the failure to
produce other great revolutionary leaders during his lifetime to carry the
torch... also the lack of an internationalist revolution...
but back to flags... wtf is so sacred about this or any other flag anyways? some
people are willing to sacrifice their own life for a piece of cloth yet value
their lives more than what this flag is supposed to stand for
how can we be sure of having anything to live for unless we are willing to
die for it?
or how about the american revolutionary version give me liberty or give me
somehow it was perverted into i'll settle for just a symbol of my liberty,
and if just that symbol is threatened i will be willing to kill and die for
it... you can take my actual freedom however
Call it nationalism if you will, but I will fiercely defend my family, friends,
neighbors and country for that flag. If you don't get that sense of pride and
commitment, too fuckin' bad. Americans are the wrong people to fuck with.
BTW, to our friends in Europe; Your countries are slowly but surely sucumbing
to the same threats we are. Turn a blind eye to your sovereignity, and it will
slip away along with whatever freedom you have.
In a democracy, the people don't get the best government. They get the government
The bar owners were not wrong to fly their flag. They were wrong to fly it
above the American Flag. Even when 2 or more flag poles are use , no other flag
is allowed to be flown higher than the American flag. Americ is the country of
our birth and the chosen country of others so it should always come firt. When
people immigrate to this country they take an oath to put America first and
foremost. They can still maintain a love for their mother country but they can
no longer put it first. If they don't become citizens of this country after a
given amount of time then they need to leave.
> more like you're damn lucky you're dao't have to
> speak spanish and are not under spanish rule.
so since the US helped Texas win a war against Mexico, we are lucky we don't
have to speak Spanish? thanks to Texans??
it's the other way around guy, Texas is lucky they don't have to speak spanish
and are not under spanish rule...thanks to the US!
Pro, all I can say is you must have been reading some revisionists version of
history to come to your above conclusion.
Texas had applied for statehood in the US BEFORE the Texas army threw out the
Mexican forces within the state and the US govt. basically said until you and
Mexico get your shit sorted out, we want no part of Texas as a state.
The Texas army, a rag tag bunch of ranchers, farmers and the like, much less
well equipped (and way outnumbered) compared to Santa Annas Mexican army, met
and defeated them and achieved independence from Mexico. The US govt. had no
part of that battle, nor was there even any form of support from them, so they
get no credit for having helped Texas achieve independence from Mexico

I guess what your texas history books didnt tell you was that after texas
fought and won its independence from mexico in the battle of San Jacinto, it
became the republic of Texas. Mexico didnt want to give up so easy and that
spawned the Mexican war which the US intervened in and won and annexed Texas
and try to read it with an open mind instead of the 'motherfucking texas is
the greatest goddamn place in motherfucking world' state of mind that you
seem to have...
pay attention to the part where it says after texas was annexed, mexico attacked
again...only this time they weren't just attacking texas, they were attacking
the US...and the US kicked their asses good and proper, which texas had failed
to do themselves...
sure it does...
but when mexico attacked again and the US had to put an end to it once
and for all, well that counts for something too...
so...there really isn't any real reason that the rest of the country needs to
"thank texas" now is there??
I had not seen this before, so thanks for posting some fresh comments to bring
it to my attention!
I am proud of my country (New Zealand for those who don't know) and if I moved
to another country I would still be proud to be a kiwi and would possibly fly a
New Zealand flag (we are not big into flags down here like the Americans are),
so I can understand the Mexican's wanting to fly their flag. Before you all
lynch me for saying that though, if I moved to another country there would have
been a good reason to do so, i.e. I wanted to be there, so I would 1. Follow the
laws of that country so I don't get arrested/deported and 2. Respect the culture
of that country. So if I were to fly a NZ flag in the US, even without knowing
the law, it would be below the stars and stripes. You would have to be a retard
with your head so deep in a hole (I will let your imagination tell you which
hole I might be referring to) to not know that Americans love their flag and see
it as the prime symbol of their patriotism. What I am trying to say then is
that the bar owner was either stupid or trying to stir up trouble, or most
Has anybody got an update on what happened in court over this?
Brossard appeared with talk radio host Bill Manders on Fox News' Your World with
Neil Cavuto on October 3 and said that he "heard on Bill Manders' show that
the flags were flying as they were. I found it disturbing to the point that I
had to do something about it. I grabbed my Ka-Bar, I went down there, I left my
vehicle a couple of doors down, I found TV cameras rolling as I walked up, I did
what was in my heart."
Talk radio host Mike Gallagher told Brossard during an October 3 interview,
"I can promise you that Americans view you as a hero." During that
interview Brossard explained that his primary concern was what Gallagher
referred to as the 'Hispanification' of America. Brossard said, "I feel
there’s a lot of this turning our heads on things in concern to the Hispanic
community and the things they do. They seem impervious to our laws in a lot of
A veterans' group, the U.S.S. Intrepid Association Inc., in November 2007
presented Brossard with a U.S. flag that had been raised over the Intrepid July
Although Cavuto, Gallagher, and other reporters stated that flying the U.S. flag
in this manner is illegal, the Reno Police Department and the Nevada chapter of
the ACLU issued separate press releases stating that while both U.S. code and
Nevada statutes contain protocols relating to the display of the American flag,
the protocols are advisory only and carry no sanctions for violation.
The Director for the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada, Bob Fulkerson,
called Brossard's actions "criminal". Right Wing Watch, the online
newsmagazine of People for the American Way, called him a vigilante.
The owner of the bar did not press charges against Brossard.
Ka-Bar, the manufacturer of the knife Brossard used, made a Jim Broussard
commemorative edition of the military knife
Thanks pro for the update. Reading that it was not actually illegal to fly the
flags that way, I now feel Brossard was a bit too hot headed in that situation.
I know how Americans almost idolise their flag and, as stated in my last post,
see it as a prime symbol of their patriotism, so I can understand his feelings,
but there were probably better ways of dealing with it. I stand by my last post
in that I believe the bar owner was stirring up trouble.
