I don't think it's funny, but it's true.
I don't care about your constitution but here in Australia 'conservative'
suburbs, where the influential live, were targeted by liberal theologians for
generations, so the words 'conservative', 'intelligent' and 'respectable' no
longer mean anything.
The only reason I commented is there seems to be a similarity.

I think things are a little different in Australia though, we don't have
politicians holding up and citing the bible as a basis for any decisions.
Even Morrison, who was publicly Pentecostal (cult of) didn't run the office in a
religious way.
I'm a whole hearted proponent of the separation of any form of church and state.

True, but what I meant was, after a few generations, the key words in
conversation (if you belong in those circles) of 'conservative', 'intelligent'
and 'respectable', ceased to mean anything. And these are places where
influential people live. There has been dramatic change as a result.
