the 427RS will, but i don't have access to 110 race gas. sad

and the motor costs 15-16,000. quadruple what the car is worth. but it would be a sleeper from hell. (matrix)

it would go into the new Digger-mobile. thumbs

427RS is not shown. If you got 91 octane and added the right amount of toluene or some other superhigh octane fuel you could probably make do. I've seen a few recipes online for doing that. Of course none of this is economically smart anyway.

toluene (a solvent) was an essential ingredient in the manufacturing process of these spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Yep. So is ethanol and a host of other hydrocarbon solvents/fuels.

the closest race gas is about a 30 minute ride. at that rate i'd be out before i got home. rock

I've often thought that it would be fun to build an engine or put something like one of these in my raggedy old station wagon. Now that would be a sleeper.

new tranny, rear axle, rear end, exhaust, headers, springs, hood pins, brakes, frame reinforced, upper and lower front and rear control arms, sway bars, and maybe a roll cage eye

Sheesh, all that great hardware and not a fuel injected, DIS fired engine in the whole damned bunch. Add in FI and a good ignition system and these high dollar powerplants could all improve their HP figures by somewhere around 20% and ... get better mileage at the same time.

This kinda shit gets the NASCAR crew all revved up but to people who truly understand how to make HP these are pretty pathetic.

There's a lotta reasons carburetors have not been used on anything other than lawnmowers for years now and makin too MUCH HP is NOT one of 'em eye

I was just reading about that same thing yesterday. NASCAR has some stupid rules that prevent a lot of technological advancements from being used. Their excuse I guess is to try to make it more about driver skill than car performance. Why not make it about both?

Nope, still only gettin the job done in half ass fashion (*facepalm*)

If ya wanna make REAL HP ... you don't use a blower!

Now if ya wanna see some truly impressive V-8 Ford motors take a look at these [www.nelsonracingengines.com] from Nelson Racing that start out runnin pump gas instead of that unobtanium 110 octane stuff and are benchmarked at a measely 14psi of boost (still more than Roushs blowers will ever touch!) and get a whoppin more HP and torque monty

yeah....well i'll still take a blower and put the money saved into Brembo brakes, suspension upgrades and a couple thousand dollars of other goodies instead of a twin or single turbo setup and still have a warranty. star wars fighting

You can get better than 1/2 the boost Roush is gettin from that Whipple blower by simply modifying the bellhousing on a standard tranny and adding fan blades to the exterior of the flywheel, creating a blower that doesn't take a single pony to generate, unlike that HP suckin, intake heat inducing blower they plopped on top of their engine.

If ya wanna whine about what it costs to make HP you're in the wrong game. HP = dollars squared and gettin the job done 1/2 right only costs a little less than doin it right in the grand scheme of things.

I've said it before, but here it is again for emphasis: I've built 2.4l (144 CID) 4 banger single turbo motors that outproduce what ANY of those Roush blown V-8s are gettin (*facepalm*)

Do you have a special humongous ball-bearing attachment on that custom-made walker of yours?

i don't feel the need to play the whose penis is bigger with the amount of HP is in your car. 500 is plenty for me. smiling bouncing smiley

That's it. I'm gonna spend every penny I've got building my hot rod wagon. Course then I'll have to live in it.
