Sorry 5072, the 'Christie myth' has been thoroughly debunked. The Russians only borrowed Christie's suspension design; turned out it sucked and they went with a different suspension on all their later tanks. Check it out here: www.knox.army.mil/center/ ocoa/ArmorMag/so01/5tankmyths01.pdf
11673, that may be true, but as the M-26 was never fielded in significant numbers, while the Panther saw extensive service, it hardly matters. And making the banally true claim that an M1A2 could beat a Panther...well, that's something only an American would do.
