Britain declared war on Germany September 3, 1939. Britain's RAF defeated the Lutwaffe's bid to soften up England for Operation Sealion, the invasion of England. This ranged from May 1940 to October 1940.
America declared war on Japan (after Pearl Harbour) Decemeber 1941.
Soviet Union declared war on Germany in June 1941; after Germany invaded Russia during Operation Barbarossa.
As for the next in line for the British throne it's Charles, after him it's Prince William; Harry's (pictured) older brother. As for Harry's antics, he's got a little growing up to do.
