i am starting a women's sword (katana) fighting tournament
so far we have four entries
Ya, I'm at a loss... must join it as Kendo girl's maker...
O.K. I explain about Kendo Bogu (Equipment) .
Generaly Bogus color are Dark blue and Black. But it is White and Red for women.
Parts of Bogu call as follows.
[MEN] (men) = "Helmet" or "Face, Chin and Head guard"
[DO] (doh) = "Body armor"
[KOTE] (ko-te) = "Gloves"
[TARE] (ta-le) = "Crotch and Thigh guard" with name bag
And use a [Shinai] (si-na-i) "Bamboo sword" for [KEIKO] "Practice" and actual games.
My Kendo girl only put on a DO and has a Shinai.
She must be Full Bogu set with Real sword [KATATA, NIHON-TOU, SHIN-KEN etc.] !
