The past is only important in that we learn from it. What religion today is more violent in it's practice? What religion has killed more people to date in modern times and what religion is likely to kill more in the near future? Of course, like I have always said no religion in itself has ever killed anyone now or in the past. It is the people who practice that religion who kill people and commit violent acts and it is the people who practice Islam who currently kill more people and commit more violent acts than any other religion today.
