There is a very similar "temporary" installation at one of the apartments here that has been there for several months. In this case I believe the apartment management forbids hanging a dish on the building so it makes some sense. At least the one here is nestled close to some shrubs and isn't in the way of anything or in anyone's path but it has the cinder blocks holding it in place much like the pic shows. Whatever works I guess. Of course a neat and tidy installation is the best choice but tech hardware has become so cheap and expendable that none of this comes as a big surprise and people these days don't seem as concerned with doing things "right the 1st time" anyway.
