Most democracies don't have voters, they have "consoomers" imho.
The consumer is happy when they can get what they want, when they want it, at a cheap price.
But when those products are food and energy, and they become unaffordable, the consumer becomes a voter.
Only then do they notice they are playing Duopoly (tm).
