The marvels of modern mankind. Not content with centuries of hacking each other to bits with sticks and swords, these days we rely on remote execution of our enemies with long range tactical weapons of mass destruction. This is a picture of an early atomic weapons test somewhere in a South Pacific atoll. Let's hope that it never drops on our doorstep.

I believe that is Bikini Island, but, I could be wrong.
I always found it ironic that the French named one of their greatest accomplishments after a historical place in a war which they never truly participated in.

Probably the Frogs at Moruroa atoll. Beginning in 1966, France detonated 46 atomic bombs in atmospheric tests and exploded 147 underground in the South Pacific atoll of Moruroa. The testing program ended in 1996. Bastards.

The scary thing is that there are at least 27 suitcase size nukes missing from the the USA alone. And yes they are unaccountable. AND more than 20 countries have nukes. Feel safe now?
