Bush is taking the first step by admitting his administration is a failure.

Don't you think, since the U.S. is the Global Police force anyway, and can
invade any country they damn well please regardless of penny-anny
"international law", that everyone in the world should be able to vote
for the U.S. president?

In 10 years, when we have had a chance to assess the damage Bush has done to the
country, Katrina will look like nothing.

You aren't the norm. Most people are not doing as well now.
Most americans income rose dramatically during the Clinton years. What were you
clowns doing ?

"Most americans income rose dramatically during the Clinton years. What

Because of the dom com boom which inevitably went bust. According to the OMB,
the economy crested in the second quarter of 2000 and then began to fall. Who
was president when the "recession" started? George Bush was not sworn
into office until the first quarter of 2001.
That "dramatic income rise" during the Clinton years was a mirage and
was not based on any underlying strength of the economy.

Work hours ? WTF are you talkiing about ? who works 9-5 asshole ? I see now.
Everyone works 9-5. Has 2.3 kids. 2 cars. 1 fat ugly wife. You're another
lemming.
Stop watching Limbaugh. The economy was stronger across the board under Clinton.
Dot com money was only on the stock market. The stock market is not the economy
as a whole.
The recession started mid 2002. That means for 15 months the Bush admin sat on
its thumbs while it was plotting against Saddam. They took their eye off the
interests of the american people.
Stop making excuses for W's ineptitude.

ummm, but don't you buy things after you sell stock?

that is the misguided theory of supply side economics that the reagan crooks
spoke of yet never ocurred.
History has shown that most people just hold on to their money after they sell
their stocks. Rich people usually just roll their stock profits over into
another investment with most of their money never re-entering the economy.

Fuck, rich people dont spend theyr'e money. This has got to be one of the most

computors,MP3 players, and look at the outrageous cars and SUV's.You know the
economy is doing good when can make money in satilite radio stocks and hummers
are in fashion as a second or third useless vehicle. If you sweat for a living
you got it good now or your lazy,if you sit behind a desk you might be in a
pinch, but you will not here alot of sympathy from the guys in the ditches or the

I just love how you quote your experience as if you represent the whole
economy.
Actually you do say something negative about the economy and you don't even
realize it.
That high paying jobs have been hurt while lower paying manual labor jobs are
doing better.
That amounts to lower GDP. That must be why fortune 500 companies are preparing
for layoffs later this year and early next year.

Anonymous Report This Comment Date: September 15, 2005 03:08PM
A@895, Funny how people get fixated on one "thing" like the price of
gas, I remember in 1980 I bought a nice 4X4 for $8000 and gas was around $1.60,
now that same kind of 4X4 runs $24000, a 300% increase, and gas 1s $3.00, you do
the math.
