Sorry, but my GSXR 1300 Hayabusa kicks its ass all over... Come back when
you've got a real bike...
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: March 27, 2005 02:05PM
why would you buy a hayabusa its a suzuki full stop!! its the only bike i know.
that one of suzuki teething problems was the backend snaped off at high speed
and they still put on sale to the public, thats suzuki!!
joeyc101 Report This Comment Date: March 27, 2005 03:50PM

It makes me laugh to hear you kids trying to talk about things you obviously
know nothing about! ;-) If anyo of you even do own a bike, and are not just
dreaming, then I'd bet you have 2 inch chicken strips at the least!
For one thing, yep, it's a Suzuki, the same Suzuki who have won the AMA
superbike champsionships in the US for the last 2 years running. Oh yes, also
the British and European superbike and 750cc championships. That Suzuki ;-)
Joey - you're an idiot. My 'busa is no bigger than the RR, just a hell of a lot
faster ;-)
joeyc101 Report This Comment Date: March 27, 2005 11:23PM
busa weighs in at 478 pounds dry the rr at 396, last time i checked 82 extra
pounds plus the larger fuel capacity in the busa make it a real fat ass. besides
most liter bikes will hit 200 with very few mods, but since you say you have a
busa, i guess you already knew that

I'd hardly call adding laughing gas (and then you'd need a fair sized bottle if
you wanted to keep it wound on) or a turbo kit to an RR to push it up to 200mph
a simple mod.
There's a big difference between 170 and 200; for one thing I wouldn't fancy the
buffetting you'd get sitting on that thing at those speeds. The Hayabusa is
built for high speed, hence the streamlining. Once you pass about 150 and get
your head under the bubble you really notice this.
Remember, included in that 82lb is an engine that's 30% bigger - so more room
for tweaking. I've actually got a video laying around my hard drive of a turbo'd
Busa hitting well over 220mph (the rider has a camera strapped to the tank,
pointing across the guages and through the screen - the speedo hits the stop pin
at 220mph, but the bike's still accelerating hard).
I've had a few bikes (and a few accidents) over the years, but nothing's come
close to the Busa for "enthusiastic riding" so far...

binladen, think i pissed you off, thats not what i wanted to do bro!! you love
your busa thats cool, yes they won the 750 superbikes and!! so have lots of
others to. when going say 250kph down the road like to know the sub frame will
hold and thats not the first prob with a suzuki is it. honda have a reputation
and reliability that suzuki can only dream of..
joeyc101 Report This Comment Date: March 28, 2005 12:20AM
are you talking about that ghostrider video? his bike doesnt have all the
fairing, thats just a little much 4 me. im not denying its fast and all the
plastic serves a purpose, i just dont think its too pretty 2 look at... and
still overrated.

americans know fuck all about bikes....like period !!
duane Report This Comment Date: April 02, 2005 01:22AM
Dude 220mph dont think so, man your busa is just plain ugly, I dont think 5% of
people buying sport bikes exceed 150mph.The ones that do usauly own them 3 or 4
months before they total them trying something stupid.Looks and acceleration
much more impressive.
Reppy Report This Comment Date: April 02, 2005 11:49PM
Duane, to answer your question about the price, teh standard 1000 RR is 10,999.
The Race replica shown above is a little more. I got mine back in Dec and it
came out to around $12,000 with title tax, tags. Also, for everyone else, the
Hayabusa is fast when it comes to top speed, however, this CBR is crazy fast.
They did a helluva' job on the 05's. I'm not knocking Suzuki or anyone else.
Trust me, I own this bike and it is sweeeettt!!!!
