Yesterday's headline: Trump miffed that Biden didn't "follow the
plan,"
Today's headline: Months ago Trump bragged about pulling troops out of
Afghanistan.
Therefore: Biden was following the plan.

Yes, Biden DID NOT follow "the plan". Noncombatant personnel first,
then equipment, and then military personnel and they blow up whatever equipment
they can't get out so it can't be used against us or our allies. Same plan used
by the military forever, but if you were in the military, you'd know that.

Trump was the one who drew down U.S. military forces from 13,000 to 2500 before
he left office after leaving the Afghan government out of the negotiations in
which he released 5000 Taliban fighters from prison and set the date of May 1
for total withdrawal. Biden pushed that date to August 31 and as soon as the
final withdrawal of American citizens began the Taliban began its blitzkrieg
forcing Biden to send back almost 60% of the military personnel that Trump
withdrew. Biden's mistake was expecting the Taliban to be more patient. He
didn't start this fight but at long last he's trying to finish it and after 20
years there's plenty of blame to go around.
