Sir,
In James Ensor’s painting, The Intrigue, the artist’s sister Mariette is
depicted being hounded by a mob which disapproves of her chosen romantic
companion. I don’t suppose that point is in any way relevant to current
events, but Mariette’s strong resemblance to Michael Jackson is nonetheless,
er, intriguing.
