blackswarm and strife,
just getting back to seeing your statements and wanted to make a few comments on what you guys had to say.....first off,,,yes i'm stubborn but not ill-informed....if I'm ill-informed then the American public is ill-informed...I watch about 2-3 hours of news a day and take a completely unbiased approach to the news...If you think for one second that there have been no threats or attacks you're wrong...there have been no pubically known sucessful attacks (one publically known attack/planned attack thwarted on the Brooklyn Bridge) true but every holiday the color-coded terrorist threat meter goes crazy and it will probably never go back down to a place where dumb Americans feel safe....I feel safe as I ever have....my daily life is insignificantly safer due to the anti-terrorist task forces....When I get in my car and some dumb fuck that doesn't know how to drive almost runs me off the road I don't feel a bit safer.....and Strife I ain't gonna get into all that you stated ...a lot of what you said makes sense but it's all because i've heard all the same spins on the news that you have ....Bush's people keep saying Kerry is gonna be weak....but I bet those V.C. he killed didn't think he was weak...He's proved that he was committed to the U.S. and would do what it takes to eliminate our enemies even if it goes against Geneva Convention...Let's not get into talking in depth about military records because Bush woulda been a good soldier had he showed up...but again all those things you've mentioned have been beaten into the ground....I personally don't think neither Bush nor Kerry is good for America...and when I say America I mean the average middle class person....Politics is all about redistribution of wealth and in either the Republican or Democrats plan the middle class loses....what America needs to do is: pick a loser and back him (thats all we can do with the current election system)....buy American so that your neighbor has a job besides working at Wal-mart or McDonalds....and get back to business as usual. Not saying that terrorism isn't a problem but most of the attacks on America didn't just happen...people ignored warnings or didnt do their jobs because they were told by their superiors to ignore these warnings (i.e. saudi's learning how to take off and fly planes but not wanting to learn how to land)....and to comment on another point of your's, I think that the war was necessary (even though WMDs were not found, some experts estimate that Sadaam may have killed up to a million people) and the military is doing a great and vital thing, but the live's being lost every day is every bit as tragic as the lives lost on 9/11....they need to turn things over to the governments in those countries and get our people home...and imply sanctions on these countries if they don't hand over people like Bin Laden...sanctions work on decent people...we've spent enough on giving them Freedom, now they have to do what we have to do, Fight everyday to stay free.
