The hlemet & pads in American football actually make it more tough. These guys can run into eachother at full speed. And yeah, actually they get hurt all the time. There is a lot of $$$$ to be made playing American Football, if the rugby guys are so much tougher, why don't they come over and dominate their Yankee bretheren? I dont think that our football players are exactly shaking at the prospect. Seems that most people who did not grow up around the game and scoff at American football usually fail to realize just how fast and strong these athletes are.

Dont get me wrong, I think that rugby is an underrated sport, it could possibly be big in the U.S. with the right promotion. There is very marketing of any kind for rugby in the U.S. market. That being said, there is nothing wimpy about American Football.

Baseball players.... yeah they are pampered and over-paid.
