Those of you that tell us that we went to war in Iraq for oil are partially right. That region of the world is very important. Without it the world grinds to a screeching halt. Part of the reason for invading was to bring stability to the region. It wouldn't of been invaded however, if there wasn't a butcher in charge of the country and an absolutely pathetic United Nations that wouldn't enforce its own resolutions. The UN is an absolute joke and most Americans are in favor of pulling all funding and withdrawing from it. It probably won't happen, but most of us wouldn't lose any sleep if it did. About the people whining about guns killing people. So the hell what. In china people can't afford guns so the weapon of choice is a machette. GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE. THE PEOPLE THAT FIRE THEM DO. I personally do own firearms. I enjoy skeet shooting with an over/under shotgun and I like to hunt pheasant and quail in the midwest every now and then, and I have a concealed carry permit that allows me to keep a .45 baretta handgun on me and in my car glove compartment. I have personally stopped a student from being raped near my college campus one night BECAUSE i had a gun. There was a study done in this country on crimes committed and it turns out for every one crime committed with a gun, 10 are prevented by Americans that own guns.
