There is no longer a draft. We have a voluntary service now. Her son was not forced to join. I feel sorry for any parent who has lost a child, but her son knew the risks inherrent with military service when he joined. If a taxi driver is killed in an auto accident, you probably wouldn't see his parents holding a "vigil" outside the home of the company president for "killing their child."
