One time...this lady rolled in to the parking lot I was in, with her smoking Mercedes. Shortly it turned it to a serious electrical fire. I put the fire out. She never even said thanks, but did ask if she could drive home. Told her she better call a tow. In fact the firemen seemed pissed they showed up to NO fire.
One of the many thankless strangers I've helped out. I might think twice next time, but I'd still help if I could.
