You're right, them torturing and killing is exactly the same as the US govt torturing and killing. They are exactly alike.
I would also say that you have every right to your opinion about abortion, and you have every right to organize a group of people to turn their backs on a speaker who is defending the need for safe abortion. Go for it. Where I stop is when people start setting bombs off to kill doctors. Just as I don't agree with terrorists or even "private" political groups setting bombs.
The main difference between announcing your opposition to Gonzales, and announcing your opposition to abortion doctors ... is that Gonzales is limiting _my_ freedom, and the freedome of every American living today.
Abortion, you may argue, limits the freedom of the fetus (but also affects the freedom of the mother). Significantly different, no?
You would torture terrorists.
You would stoop to their level?
You would become equal to them in violence and desperation?
