I'm not really quite geeky enough to understand the whole thing but, one friend of mine was complaining of how the constant changes to his IP address was causing havoc with his system, and a lot of down time on the servers for his Comcast service, which a few other friends living in rapidly developing areas north of Dallas also complained of.

Comparatively, my DSL service hasn't been down more than twice in over 2 yrs now and I've never had to reset or restart my modem even once :>winking smiley
