cause before that day they were worthless welfare recipients who pumped out kids to make a living. they will suck your tax dollars one way or another. 10.5 billion to some people who never paid a dollar in tax in their life. Of coarse the smart people went for the hills. the only people who stayed are trouble makers, old people, and people sitting on unlegit cash from drugs and such. yes there are exceptions, but i dont see any college professors in that mess.

Please tell that story to the mother who gave birth to her child in the streets two days after the storm. Nothing could possibly hurt more than having a new baby and watching it die in front of you in less than six hours......

Sounds like some corporations I know... never pay a dollar of taxes, suck your tax dollars, invest it off-shore. Are poor people really the greater problem?

to be fair people knew of the hurricane..only get 5-6 every year. no one could know it would be so bad to break the dams and levys in place to protect the cities

I heard that the levees were rated for Cat 3 hurricanes, and Katrina was a Cat 5. So if they thought about it, those in power could have put 2 and 2 together.
