Better known as the Sherman tank, it took a lot of guts to man them as they
were prone to burst into flames when hit by fire from the German tanks' superior
guns; they were nicknamed "Ronsons" as in Ronson cigarette lighters
because of this tendency to light up so easily. They won not by being a superior
tank but because they were more reliable and greatly outnumbered the German
tanks.
