mkcerusky: 16130 has your definition. "to loot" as a verb means
"to steal". It is typically applied during riots. People loot from
businesses, not houses, typically.
I think the 'hanging out back' was meant in the sense that these white men
lynched some black "looters".
The whole looting thing came up during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath.. blacks
taking food and water from businesses were called "looters" by the
media, and whites doing the same thing were described as "finding".
There is a post a few weeks back on 613 that makes this point.
Just FYI, it's spelled "metaphorically".

....and yes, those in the picture still look pathetics: probably they have to
state that they are drunk because they want to show that they are
"men", that they are "hard", or "though", because
holding weapons is a clear sign that they are not, so they have to prove it
somehow else, i.e. stating that they are drunk. In other words, pathetic.

It's not completely clear to me whether the "drunks with guns!" is
referring to the men in the photo, or to the armed drunken looters at whom they
would be shooting. Either way, looters steal from homes, businesses, or
wherever, and the noise about black vs. white "looting" vs.
"finding" is simple race-baiting.

I thought the drunks with guns was meant to communicate that they're not
"rational" or patient or going to take the time to investigate whether
you were really guilty or not, and therefore, don't mess around with them, or
try anything funny. (The one guy in blue on the far right does look like he's
holding a can of something (beer?).

Hey mkcerusky, get real man, what facade have you been hiding under? They drink
beer, so what? So does half the rest of the people in real life. They are
probably using the word "drunk" as an intimidating factor....something
you would probably only be acquainted with on the receiving end, unless of
course you applied it to your little sister to have your way with her. What, you
think just because a man has a gun, he isn't tough? If the "looters"
caught your pansy ass in an alley, they'd take ALL of your cookies, unless of
course one of these "real" men just happened upon your rape and saved
your worthless, ignorant ass. And he'd more than likely have to use his gun,
because your new fuck buddies would have theirs, and they wouldn't be carrying
them to protect little panty-wastes like you. Be GLAD you still have REAL MEN
to stand up for the citizens and the gentry in this dissipating society, even if
they have to pick up a gun, a stick, or whatever it takes to obliterate
inconscionable murderers and other pervertors of the law. Go back to sleep now,
safely snuggled in your cozy little bed, and when you wake up, be glad you were
